Ed Sleiman, Chief Cybersecurity Advisor for Microsoft in the Middle East, brings over 40 years of experience in information technology, including 16 years in senior leadership roles focused on cybersecurity.
He previously served as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), where he oversaw the cybersecurity strategy for both the university and its surrounding city.
His leadership emphasized capacity-building, diversity, and inclusion within the cybersecurity field.
As a prominent figure at the AI in Lebanon Conference 2025, taking place across five Lebanese cities from July 21 to 26, Sleiman underscores the critical need to integrate artificial intelligence into cybersecurity strategies to enable a secure and effective digital transformation in Lebanon.
Ed is widely recognized for his pioneering work on “The Human Firewall” a program designed to empower individuals with the knowledge and awareness to serve as the first line of defense against cyber threats.
