Dr. Hikmat Beaini: Leading Lebanon’s AI Awakening with Vision, Passion, and Purpose

When Lebanon takes a bold step into the future of artificial intelligence, it’s not just about catching up with the world—it’s about claiming its rightful place in it.

Behind this historic leap stands Dr. Hikmat Beaini, the driving force and visionary chairman of the AI in Lebanon Conference 2025, a six-day national initiative bridging innovation, talent, and opportunity.

With a deep-rooted belief in Lebanon’s resilience and the untapped potential of its people, Dr. Beaini set out to craft more than a conference, he’s building a national movement.

“It’s no longer enough to use AI—we must start building it, shaping it, and exporting it to the world,” says Dr. Beaini. “And there is no reason why Lebanese talent can’t lead that transformation.”

A writer, academic, strategist, and entrepreneur, Dr. Beaini has spent years working across the UAE and Lebanon, promoting digital governance, AI integration, and public-private collaboration.

But it is his love for Lebanon, his homeland—that fuels his current mission. Having lived through war and witnessed the struggles of a generation seeking dignity and opportunity, he is determined to make AI a tool of empowerment, not exclusion.

The AI in Lebanon Conference reflects that spirit. Spanning five cities in six days—Beirut, Tripoli, Sidon, Zahle, and Aley—the event features a mobile AI bus, networking sessions, AI solution showcases, startup exhibitions, panel discussions, and a unique AI retreat to connect global and local minds.

Dr. Beaini’s objectives are clear:
1.Connect the Diaspora – Bringing back Lebanese AI experts from across the globe to share knowledge, collaborate, and give back.
2.Empower Local Talent – Giving Lebanese innovators, startups, and students a platform to present and grow their AI ideas.
3.Ignite AI Production – Moving Lebanon from AI consumers to AI producers—ready to innovate, code, build, and export.

But beyond logistics and agendas, the heartbeat of the conference is its message: Lebanon can rise again—through technology, creativity, and collaboration.

As the Co-founder of Future 10X and the architect behind the AI in Dubai Conference, Dr. Beaini has already proven what vision paired with action can achieve. Now, he’s channeling that experience into Lebanon, where his efforts are attracting support from ministers, municipalities, universities, chambers of commerce, and entrepreneurs.

“AI is not just for the elite or the rich countries,” he says. “It’s for every student coding in Zahle or Sidon in Lebanon, every engineer dreaming in Tripoli, every entrepreneur in Aley, and every researcher at Lebanese universities. The Lebanese spirit is one of survival and brilliance. All we need is a bridge—and that’s what this conference is.”

Dr. Beaini often says the conference is only the beginning. His long-term vision includes establishing AI institutes, fostering regional AI alliances, and launching Lebanon’s own AI products and platforms on the global stage.

With unwavering conviction and contagious optimism, he ends most meetings with a simple but powerful phrase:
“We shall never stop dreaming of a great future for Lebanon—because it is possible, and it is ours to build.”
