For Dr. Alain Traboulsy, Lebanon is more than a birthplace — it is a mission. With over 25 years of international experience in cybersecurity and IT, Dr. Traboulsy blends global expertise with a deeply rooted passion to uplift and protect his homeland through innovation, technology, and mentorship.
His career began in Beirut in 1998, at a time when Lebanon’s digital ecosystem was still finding its footing. Since then, Alain has carved out an impressive international trajectory across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, leading cybersecurity development in major telecom operators, managed security service providers (MSSPs), and multinational vendors.
Today, as EMEA MSSP & Telecom Business Development Manager at Fortinet, he spearheads cybersecurity strategies for more than 1,000 partners, managing multi-million-dollar projects and helping organizations across the region build and commercialize their Security Operations Centers (SOCs).
His leadership in integrating artificial intelligence into cybersecurity workflows — particularly in threat detection and SOC automation — places him at the cutting edge of the industry.
Yet despite his global impact, Alain’s heart remains in Lebanon.
“I’ve worked in cities across three continents, but I always return to Lebanon — with ideas, with energy, with hope,” Dr. Traboulsy says. “I believe that AI, when combined with the right cybersecurity foundations, can protect our institutions, empower our youth, and restore trust in our digital future.”
Alain holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, with a specialized research focus on AI adoption in the UAE’s small and medium-sized enterprises. He applies this academic insight to real-world cybersecurity applications, blending strategic vision with technical know-how.
At the AI in Lebanon Conference 2025, Dr. Traboulsy brings more than just expertise — he brings a message of resilience, revival, and responsibility. He sees Lebanon not just as a market, but as a fertile ground for AI innovation that is secure, sovereign, and sustainable.
In his own words: “It’s not enough to protect systems. We must protect potential. And Lebanon has limitless potential.”
