AI and Digital Education Are Lebanon’s Gateway to a More Sustainable Future

In a world shaped by growing digital transformation, Dr. Dima Jamali sees a powerful opportunity for Lebanon to rise above its challenges by embracing artificial intelligence and digital education.

With more than 20 years of leadership in sustainability, social responsibility, and innovation in education, Dr. Jamali believes technology can rebuild trust and foster transparency across Lebanon’s institutions.

In an exclusive interview with Future 10X, the company organizing the AI in Lebanon Conference scheduled for July 2025, Dr. Jamali shared her vision for how this national event can drive real transformation.

“Artificial intelligence is not just a tech tool,” Dr. Jamali explains. “It is a way to completely rethink how we deliver public services and how we educate future generations.”

As Vice President for Academic Affairs at Canadian University Dubai, she has led efforts to integrate AI into curriculum design, teaching models, and student experience.

“We are building educational ecosystems where AI empowers learners, not replaces them.”

She sees the conference as far more than a professional gathering. For her, it is a national call to action.

“This conference is a unique opportunity to gather Lebanese minds from around the world, align visions, and co-create a roadmap for Lebanon’s digital future.”

She believes the conference can act as a bridge between local institutions and the Lebanese diaspora, enabling collaboration in AI policy, research, entrepreneurship, and talent development.

“Lebanon can absolutely become a digital innovation hub in the region,” she says with confidence. “But we need to invest wisely, create enabling environments for startups and research, and most importantly, ensure that our youth have access to world class digital education.”

Dr. Jamali underscores the importance of inclusive digital transformation. “AI should not be a tool that deepens inequalities. It must be used to empower women, youth, and marginalized communities, especially in rural areas that are often left behind.”

For Dr. Jamali, Lebanon’s journey toward a digital future is not only about technology. It is about values.

“We need a national commitment to ethical AI, digital literacy, and responsible innovation,” she stresses.

“This is not just about creating apps or platforms. It is about creating a future where all Lebanese can thrive.”

With leaders like Dr. Dima Jamali at the table, the AI in Lebanon Conference promises to be a defining moment, not only for innovation, but for reshaping the country’s future through education, inclusion, and smart technology.
